March 7, 2008Running the LA Marathon
Hey all!
Sorry I'm just getting to post about this, but my week has been a little crazy. Not hectic per se, but I was just worn out. So some of you know that my parents came to visit me here in L.A. this past weekend. I moved here a little less than 6 months ago from the Midwest, so it was neat for them to come see my office here at Buzznet and where I live and whatnot. Of course I enjoyed having them around because they took me out to eat a lot, but also because I miss them a ton. Saturday I planned on doing something fun and taking it easy, but my plans were changed when my friend Karina and I went to see an apartment (I'll post a photo of the two of us in a minute on my main page). We signed the lease right away! It's going to be a lot of fun decorating and finding all the furniture I need. Right now I have nothing, except for this big grill I got on Craigslist for free. Then came Sunday -- Race Day! I had to wake up really early, about 6:00am. I put on my running clothes, grabbed my number and headed to Universal Studios Hollywood. I never heard an official number of people running, but there were a TON! My parents followed the course along the way. I saw them at miles 4, 10, 19, and the finish. It really helped having them there to support me, especially at mile 19. I wasn't sure I was going to make it at that point. The race itself was an amazing experience. There were supposed to be about one million spectators. My name was on my number bib, so people were even yelling out my name. Some woman gave me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich around maybe mile 14 or so, and it really hit the spot. Random people also helped by giving me icy hot and other topical pain killers during the race -- and I sure needed them. I sucked it up, did a fair share of walking and stretching in the middle of the race and finished with a very, very slow time of 6 hours 15 minutes or so. My goal was just to finish, so I was happy with it. From now on I plan on sticking with half marathons. 13.1 miles doesn't sound too difficult anymore after running 26.2 this weekend. :) Since my camera was stolen a couple weeks ago, my Mom took lots of photos with hers. As soon as she sends them to me I will post them for you to see. Until then, I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend. I know that I will be rewarding myself by doing absolutely nothing!! <3Traci

February 28, 2008I talked to Paris Hilton!
Hey guys!
I know that a lot of you saw my profile photo with Paris, but that was only just a part of my red carpet experience with the heiress. I also got to interview her, and Bree Says even linked to it on Tuesday. You can check out the link here: http://socialitelife.buzznet.com/2008/02/25/exclusive_intern_tracis_night_in_paris.php I promise I will write a real journal about the big night later, but I wanted to put this up so you guys could see it. It was super exciting, even though Paris isn't exactly my most favorite person in the world. Hope it makes you guys laugh! <3Traci
